Try these two
games on the SMART Board to have your students practice their skills with addition combinations. The first one is Connectsums. The object is to find as many combinations of numbers, dice, or coins that equal a target sum, all while trying to beat the timer or using a countdown. One additional constraint is that the numbers have to be next to each other. I found this game is an excellent way for students to practice their number combin
ations with a variety of options.
Another way for them to practice is with the game Sumstacker. This game asks you to drag and drop number combinations until you have the correct sum in each column. You can also choose numbers, dice or coins as well. This game is also available as an iPhone/iTouch app.

Hi Elementary Technology,
I think a lot of your readers are teachers or perhaps in some area of education and so I’m writing to suggest http://www.school-counselor.org as a resource link on your blog. This website provides career and licensure information for those who are interested in moving into the school counseling profession.
Hope this is helpful,
Seth Sanford

Hi Ronna, you could do with some non-spam comment love here! Thanks for sharing these math activities for IWBs. I thought the ConnectSums was really nice – quick and responsive and providing good practice of basic addition facts.
Please let me know if you’re looking for a writer for your weblog. You’ve got some actually excellent articles and I think I could be an excellent asset. Should you ever desire to take a few of the load off, I’d completely really like to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an e-mail if interested.
You really found a way to make this whole process esaeir.
